Conduct factory visits and production inspections at footwear manufacturers
Perform pre-production, inline and final inspections
Evaluate materials, workmanship, fit and technical specifications
Identify and analyze quality issues during production and support corrective actions
Support factories in implementing defined quality standards
Coordinate with local QC teams and suppliers
Prepare inspection reports and technical evaluations
Support sample approvals and production releases
Act as a technical interface between factories and the European teams
Several years of experience in footwear production, quality control or technical product development
Solid understanding of shoe manufacturing processes (cutting, stitching, lasting, assembly)
Experience with factory inspections, inline and final inspections
Familiarity with Asian manufacturing environments is beneficial
Hands-on factory experience is strongly preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Based in Asia or willing to relocate to Asia
Very good English skills
Direct involvement in footwear production in Asia
High level of responsibility and autonomy
Close collaboration with international sourcing and product teams
Long-term role within an international trading company
Location: Asia (China / Vietnam / Southeast Asia)
Travel: frequent factory visits within the region
For our international sourcing activities in the footwear sector, we are looking for an experienced Quality Controller / Technical Inspector to support our supplier base in Asia and ensure consistent product quality during production.
The position is based in Asia or requires willingness to relocate to Asia and works closely with suppliers, local QC teams and the product and sourcing teams in Europe.
